Privacy policy
How Vint-OS handles store, staff, and customer information in the course of providing the service.

Information we process
Avern Systems Inc. operates Vint-OS and processes store contact and configuration information, staff accounts and permissions, customer contact information, products, sales, payments recorded by the store, production batches, appointments, messages, printing activity, audit history, and service diagnostics. Payment-card numbers are handled by the store's payment provider and are not stored in Vint-OS.
Why we use information
We use information to operate the store workflow, synchronize offline stations, create receipts and labels, schedule bottling, send configured transactional messages, secure accounts, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers and location
The primary database is hosted in Canada. Avern Systems Inc. also uses specialized providers to operate Vint-OS, including offline synchronization, hosting, email, payments, application diagnostics, and optional AI-assisted product extraction. Some providers process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local law. AI extraction is used only for product material submitted for that purpose, not customer records.
What is stored on your devices
So the shop keeps working during a connection problem, Vint-OS stores a copy of the store's operational data in the browser or app on each signed-in device, along with work that has been recorded but not yet synchronized. That copy belongs to the device. Signing out or clearing the browser's site data for Vint-OS removes it. The authoritative copy is the synchronized store database, and anything waiting to sync is shown as such rather than treated as saved.
Taking your data with you
A store manager can export reports as CSV and the complete store archive as compressed NDJSON at any time from Manager Setup, including while an active subscription is being cancelled. Nothing a shop enters is locked to Vint-OS.
Retention and safeguards
Operational records are retained while needed by the store and for legal, accounting, security, and support purposes. Message snapshots have bounded retention. Access is restricted by store membership and role, sensitive operations are audited, data is encrypted in transit, and recovery exports are encrypted and verified. A store administrator controls its customer records and is normally the first contact for a customer request.
Access, correction, and deletion
Contact the store that collected your information to request access or correction. Store managers can download a store-scoped export from Manager Setup and contact support there for account closure or deletion assistance. Some financial and audit records must be retained where required by law or legitimate security obligations.
